Dr. Kimberly McLeod, Ed.D., NCC, LPC-A
Supervised by Kyntra Lighten, LPC-S
With more than 15 years of experience preparing Texas therapists and school counselors, I bring a deep academic and professional foundation to my counseling work. I have served as a school counselor myself and later as a professor of counseling at two universities, where I taught graduate-level courses, mentored developing clinicians, and helped shape mental health practice across the state. I am also an author and published researcher, with work focused on identity, resilience, and personal growth.
In therapy, I help adults who feel overwhelmed by expectations, stretched thin by responsibility, or exhausted from always being “the strong one.” Many of my clients come to me because they have spent years putting themselves last, carrying emotional weight alone, or meeting everyone else’s needs before their own. Together, we slow down long enough to hear what your mind and body have been trying to say.
My approach is warm, reflective, and practical. Through grounding strategies, pattern awareness, and supportive conversation, we create space for you to reclaim your voice, understand your emotional patterns, and learn what it feels like to finally choose yourself in your own life.
No matter what you are carrying, this is a place where your healing, your needs, and your story matter.
